The Bloggers Association of Kenya held the Blog Award Gala on May 2nd 2015 at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi, Kenya.
I was humbled to be a nominee and ecstatic to win Best Health Blog 2015! I began blogging in 2012 and at the time had no idea how much the info I shared would reach so many people and that it would impact their lives. My blog’s readership is in over 160 countries worldwide and for this I’m honored.
My award is truly not for me but for my fans/followers for taking time to know me and voting. The award is also a reflection of how amazing my stellar team is: Jessica Mutuku my wonderful brand manager, the developers in India, graphic designers in New York, Video editors in Egypt, Social media admin Noni in California and Emmah in Kenya…these people do the hard work and make my brand what it is. I would also like to thank BAKE for creating the platform for us Kenyan bloggers to be recognized.
I would also like to say thanks to Juliet Kwamboka Ongwae of Kanga Kulture Adama Arcade for designing my dress and Wacuka Thimba for makeup.
